Handbook to Life in America

This excellent history series meets the national high school history standards and not only focuses on national events and historic figures but highlights the everyday life of Americans.

This nine volume set is great for general reading and for research and could also be used by homeschoolers for a supplement to an American history course. It covers the colonial era all the way to the present and includes black and white illustrations. Whether you want information on how Americans dressed, what they ate or what they did for fun in a certain era, you will find it all here.

Pamunkey Regional Library is pleased to offer this set in its entirety at each of our branches. Come by and check them out today!
